New Topic: The Manhattan Ballot 2019. In addition to candidates for city commission and USD383 board, the ballot will ask voters to approve or reject two special questions. One is “Kansas Eliminate Revision of Census Population Amendment”. The other is “0.3% Sales Tax Initiative”. Do you know how you will vote on these measures?
Clay Barker, Deputy General Counsel, Kansas Secretary of State will explain the census amendment.
Karen McCulloh, former Mayor of Manhattan will explain the sales tax initiative. Come and get your questions answered!
The Riley County Democratic Party general meeting begins at 6:30pm in the auditorium at the Manhattan Library. This is open to all members or anyone interested in joining.
The 7pm public forum is open to the public, regardless of party affiliation.
