Manhattan's annual Juneteenth Celebration is on Saturday, June 18th, and we'll be there to register voters and provide education about the choices we have in front of us in the critical 2016 election. Volunteers are needed to staff the booth, connect with attendees, and set-up and tear-down our booth. We will provide all the needed training to our volunteers, so no matter what your level of experience, we'd encourage you to join us!
Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom and emphasizes the outstanding achievements and educational contributions of African Americans. It has been proudly celebrated in Manhattan, Kansas for the past 26 years. The Riley County Democratic Party has had a long-standing presence at this community event, as a partner on voting rights and the fight to build a more inclusive economy by securing equal opportunity for all.
