I am a proud military wife, who moved to Manhattan in 2019 when my husband was cut orders to serve at Fort Riley.
My husband is an officer and is in his 16th year of service. We are likely to have at least one, probably two, more deployments before he retires. While deployments themselves are not the ultimate sacrifice, it sure does increase the risk.
I am livid and sick to my stomach over the President’s view of our military.
The Commander-in-Chief has the power to order troops into combat. Knowing now that our President does not value the lives of these brave and honorable Americans appalls me, as it should you.
Given our President’s views of our troops as “suckers” and “losers,” do you trust Trump’s judgement and methodology in determining when to send in the military?
To call another human being a “sucker” and a “loser” demonstrates that the accuser sees that person as disposable. This language is evidence of a person who does not value the life of another human being.
This Republican party has pledged their allegiance, not to the flag, but to Trump. They did so in August when they neglected to create a party platform and instead, adopted Trump’s “America First” agenda. The GOP is dead.
PLEASE! For the sake of my husband’s life and for the sake of our nation: a vote for ANY Republican on the General Election ballot is a green light for the President -AND- the Party of Trump to continue this path of self-serving greed and unhinged recklessness.
Our vets are not “suckers.”
But the ones who will be are the ones who will vote for any Republican on any ballot, thus reinforcing their selfish and impetuous agenda.
